EIPM’s four Certification Programmes were developed to cover the full spectrum of Purchasing functions. The programmes meet the needs of Purchasing professionals seeking formal skills recognition. We encourage teamwork, exchanges and mutual learning amongst participants through a diversity of means so that everyone can find within the EIPM Certification the development and tools to complement and build on their own experience.

“Discovering Purchasing”

Level 1 for Newcomers

The Certification for Newcomers prepares participants to take charge of a purchasing portfolio. The training covers the fundamentals of the purchasing function, such as understanding the purchasing process, analysis of a portfolio, segmentation, understanding how to apply the best practices and building a purchasing strategy.
Targeted to provide the fundamental purchasing process and tools to buyers with less than two years’ experience and mostly local purchasing responsibilities.

“Buying for Performance”

Level 2 for Professional Buyers

The Certification for Professional Buyers prepares participants to have an active role in the definition and implementation of the company’s business and purchasing strategy.
The programme also focuses on cross-functional and cross-cultural environments which require specific interpersonal skills. Targeted to Lead buyers, Category buyers, Project buyers and Business Unit buyers with large portfolio responsibilities.

“Delivering Purchasing Excellence”

Level 3 for Expert Buyers

The Certification programme “Delivering Purchasing Excellence” focuses on achieving excellence through a flexible and business minded approach to category management.
This includes developing ambitious strategies that leverage a diversity of practices and levers. The programme outlines how to implement mutually beneficial Relationships with suppliers, advanced cost Reduction and innovation activities. Effective communication with stakeholders and complex negotiations are also covered in this programme..

“Leading Purchasing Transformation””

Level 4 for Purchasing Managers

The Certification for Purchasing Managers focuses mainly on management and leadership capabilities as well as the organisational aspects of purchasing. Among the management issues covered are strategy definition, organisation and team management. Leadership subjects include leadership styles, change management and communication.
Targeted to Purchasing Executives with a solid purchasing background who are leading a team of buyers, or to Senior Buyers aspiring to an Executive position..
