EIPM and Open Compute Project (OCP) announce an E-Learning Initiative on Open Technology Procurement

The European Institute of Purchasing Management (EIPM) and the Open Compute Project (OCP) are pleased to announce a strategic collaboration to develop and deliver a suite of e-learning courses focused on the procurement of open technologies.

This educational initiative addresses the growing need for procurement professionals to understand and effectively navigate the evolving landscape of open technology ecosystems. The collaboration brings together EIPM’s expertise in procurement education and open technologies with OCP’s leadership in open hardware.

 About the Programme

The e-learning suite has been developed under the coordination of Dr Hervé Legenvre from EIPM, whose research specializes in procurement, innovation, and open technology ecosystems. The courses are designed to equip procurement professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully source and manage open technologies.

The courses will be made freely available to the procurement and technology communities, reflecting both organizations’ commitment to knowledge sharing and advancing open innovation practices.

 Availability

The complete e-learning suite will be released in October 2025 and will be available from
