Bernard Gracia’s keynote speech at the APPM Conference

We are happy to share the video of Bernard Gracia’s keynote speech at the Purchasing Conference organised by the Association of Purchasing & Procurement Managers Russia (APPM).

The conference took place on the 23^rd November 2017, in Moscow.

Bernard’s speech focused on the future of Purchasing and what would be the new skills required to bring the function to the next level. Among the topics covered were:

• Where is Purchasing now?
• What awaits us in the future?
• Which trends will prevail in international companies in the field of procurement?
• How is it necessary to transform in order to keep up with new trends?

He also presented the Russian version of the EIPM talent assessment tool, Bee-Resources, and answered questions from the audience.

Our Executive MBA Alumni Alexander Sidorin, Purchasing Deputy Director at OMK, also took part as a speaker, presenting his views on Strategic Sourcing.

Cooperation Agreement

On the same date, APPM and EIPM signed a cooperation agreement to establish a Procurement Academy in Russia.

The purpose of this project is to develop purchasing skills within Russian companies, based on Russian and international best practices.

This is the first educational programme in the country at global level which prepares professional buyers according to international standards.
