PRESENTATIONS, VIEWPOINTS, CASE STUDIES AND DEBATES
FROM THREE COMPLEMENTARY PERSPECTIVES:
practitioners, academics and consultants.

A supplier ecosystem is much more than a cost base for a company. It is also a great source of incremental and sometimes of far-reaching innovation.

Today we need to broaden our perspective on innovation. It goes well beyond technology and products. It relates to processes, customer experience, brand perception and business model changes. The EIPM annual conference will explore the key drivers that help a purchasing organization to contribute to innovation and to set up an edgeless corporation that creates value from the supplier ecosystem to the final user.

Recent research at EIPM shows that companies which have outstanding financial and commercial performance excel at 3 things:
They involve the purchasing organization in gathering unmet needs. Step by step a purchasing organization can win its seat at the table where decisions are taken. It becomes closer to the clients and gains opportunities to anticipate market changes and contributes to building competitive advantages. During the conference we will look at some of the practices that make this possible.
They look for innovation opportunities within their supplier ecosystem. 57% of the companies we have surveyed, believe buyers will be increasingly expected to engage with Tier 2, Tier 3 suppliers, start-ups and new players. Furthermore a new set of practices are currently being developed in order to access innovation opportunities in the ecosystem.
We will share good practices on this important transformation.
They collaborate with suppliers on innovation projects. Best performing companies display high levels of collaboration with key suppliers especially on innovation projects that aim at increasing efficiency and at minimizing risks. Other innovation projects tend to call for a wider mix of existing and new players.

Join us for this important conference that will let practitioners from many industries and horizons share their practices and exchange on what can take us further.
