The final event of the year for active purchasing professionals is the EIPM Annual Conference, which brings together Academics, Practitioners & Consultants on a common, topical theme.
The event is well established and has earned the reputation as an obligatory meeting point for Purchasing & Supply professionals from a wide spectrum of industrial and service corporations.

This year the event will be special due to the fact it marks the opening of the 20th EIPM Anniversary.
This Conference will be also the place to celebrate the 1st "EIPM Excellence Award of the Year" given by Peter Kraljic in person. Purchasing is no longer only about savings. It is about Strategic Alignment, fair and sustainable relations…about Value. Today purchasing professionals may have to justify buying a product or service at a higher price than the market price to permit an increase in profit or market share. This is a kind of Purchasing Contribution to Value Creation.

EIPM Best Procurement Organisation Award

Peter Kraljic

Award Jury President:
Mr Peter KRALJIC

• How can purchasing professionals sell this Value Contribution?
• How can we measure this Value Contribution? What are the tools?
• How can we share this Value Contribution with Stakeholders/Suppliers?
• What are the tools and best practices to facilitate the switch from Price to Value?

Downturn shows that Purchasing very frequently turned back to basics, to price savings…
To be recognised as Strategic for the future, Purchasing must be capable to speak about Value, to sell Value and to measure Value.
It is about the future of the Purchasing Function.
